Living in the city, it’s easy to forget that nature is right there—sometimes just waiting to be noticed. A Year Along the White River is my attempt to find that hidden side of Indianapolis, the places where nature still quietly exists amidst all the concrete and noise.
The White River in Indy is one of those places people pass by every day without really seeing. It’s there, but it’s easy to forget about it. Over the course of a year, I set out to explore its hidden corners—the spots where the city fades away and the natural world takes over, even if just for a moment.
This series isn’t about grand landscapes or iconic views; it’s about finding the quiet beauty in the spaces we overlook. It’s about rediscovering what’s already here, right in the middle of the city.
